On October 2, 2020, Gatheright and Jones shot dead Shalaymiah Moore, 34, at Lakeshore Blvd. and E. 240th Street in Euclid.
Gatheright and Jones approached Moore’s car in an attempt to steal it and a male friend in the car.
Moore tried to walk away and was shot in the back. She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

“This senseless homicide is just another example of the wave of gun violence sweeping through our county,” Cuyahoga County District Attorney Michael O’Malley said. âThis victim was a wonderful mother, daughter and friend to many in our community. “
Judge David Matia of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas will convict the two men on September 21.
